			<description>HOUSTON, TEXAS &#8211;Kolache Factory, a quick-service, bakery-cafe that is franchising nationwide, has been heralded by the Food Network as having one of the top five drive-thrus in the country. The network was recently in Houston filming the company commissary, as well as a Kolache Factory store, for inclusion in a segment that will air in the fall.   Founded in 1982 by John and Jerri Banks, Houston-based Kolache Factory offers its customers a modern variation of the pastry roll that originated in Eastern Europe centuries ago. The company&#8217;s kolaches are filled with a variety of ingredients ranging from fruit to meat, and are touted as The Ideal Meal for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Gourmet coffees and a variety of traditional pastries including croissants, cinnamon rolls and strudel niks are also available to Kolache Factory customers.
